How: it will go up by $50


City council met Wednesday to announce that starting next month, property taxes will increase 10 percent, which will be used to pay for doubling the size of city park.

University Raises

Who: Liberty University
What: made an announcement about faculty and staff getting a 15 percent raise this fall

Why: long overdue to get a raise, first in 2 years
How: increased revenues from state


During a press conference, Liberty University announced that the school will be using the increased revenues from the state to give faculty and staff a 15 percent raise this fall.


Journalism Students Meet
